Dundas Valley Rugby Vikings continue their successful start to 2011 with a 42 -17 win over the Manly Savers at Keirle Park, Manly on Saturday.
After four rounds of the NSW Suburban Rugby Union Division 6 Meldrum Cup, Dundas Valley sits third on the ladder behind Roseville and Maccabi, after three wins and a loss.
Both sides were coming off the Easter and Anzac weekend bye.
Dundas Valley Vikings coach Milton Teratana said after the game that the previous week had been testing for the club and the players.
''We were unable conduct a field training session due to bad weather, but myself and the rest of the coaching staff are very pleased by the effort and commitment shown out there on the field by the boys,'' Teratana said.
''Having said that we as team and club must not get complacent and take our foot off the gas we must enter each game mentally and physically switched on and play controlled disciplined rugby for the full 80 minutes every week to the end of the season.'"
Dundas Valley Vikings are trying to rebuild after a turbulent decade which saw it win the NSW Suburban Rugby Union Division 1 Kentwell Cup in 2003, but slipped down to Division 6 by 2011.
''We are hoping that 2011 is the year when the club can return to a new era of success by winning trophies and premierships,''
