1.Introduction
At Dundas Valley Rugby Football Club (DVRFC) we understand that business receives many requests for sponsorship, but this proposal offers you a unique opportunity.
2003 was a very successful year for the club with 1st grade winning the grand final in only our second year in 1st division suburban rugby. Our goal for 2011 is to build on a strong and successful on field performances achieved during 2010 and look to be highly competitive in 6th Division in the NSW Suburban Rugby Unions’ Interfuse Meldrum Cup and in the Sydney Colts Radford Cup Competitions by fielding two senior grade teams however, to achieve this in our 40th year of Senior Rugby in 2011 provides us with many challenges both on and off field. We have developed plans to meet these challenges but, for these to be successfully implemented, we require financial sponsorship from businesses.
We can not, and do not expect you to give away your money for no returns. Instead, we believe we can form a relationship that will benefit both parties.
The sponsorship will provide you with the opportunity to grow your business through extensive advertising to members of our licensed clubs plus players, friends and supporters. (See individual sponsorship Packages).
We do not view sponsorship as purely a financial proposition. The real value of the sponsorship lies with your inclusion in the Dundas Valley tight knit social community. As a sponsor, you will be pampered and provided with VIP invitations to all our social events. There is also the benefit in the knowledge that you are instrumental in the survival and promotion of what is a very important part of lives of hundred of dedicated players, officials and supporters.
The information provided provides details of the sponsorship packages. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, or have any questions regarding the packages please call Michael Lilley on 0415 335 368
On behalf of the senior Football Committee we thankyou for your time and interested in the Dundas Valley Rugby Football Club and look forward to having you as an integral part of the continuing development of this club.
Yours in Rugby,
Michael Lilley
Dundas Valley Rugby Football Club
Director of Rugby,
1. Dundas Rugby History
Dundas Valley Rugby Football Club is stepped in tradition and began in 1958 when a group of mates founded the Junior club. In 1971 the senior club was established to give junior players in the Under 17’s another avenue to keep them playing senior rugby at the Dundas Valley Vikings. The clubs philosophy is to win as many games as possible, but not at the expense of enjoying ourselves.
Over the years the club has been successful in winning a number of premierships and the club championships. 2003, in only our second year in 1st Division suburban rugby, 1st grade took out the Kentwell cup with a thrilling grand final win. Along with these trophies the club has produced a contingent of players who have gone on to represent Australia. These include Ray Price, Don Price, Lance Walker, Sam Cordingley and Scott Taylor.
Located in Dundas Valley, the club services a large area around north western suburbs, with players coming from many area of Sydney. This season hope to be fielding two grades, in the NSW suburban Rugby Union 6th Division, competing in the Interfuse Meldrum Cup and NSWSRU Sydney Colts Radford Cup Competitions.
We are strongly supported by the Parramatta Leagues Club, Parramatta Two Blues and the Vikings Sports Club who has patronage of over 5000 members. This licenced club, situated close to our home ground, is well renowned for being one of the biggest and best Rugby Clubs in NSW.
We are also strongly affiliated with Dundas Valley Junior Rugby Union who fields teams from the under 6 through to the under 17’s. Dundas Valley is truly a family centred rugby club, which enjoys a unique culture social scene.
Please feel free to drop into any of our facilities, as you will be more than welcome. If you would like a tour, please call Michael Lilley 0415 335 368

8.Summary
The Dundas Valley Rugby Football Club presents a unique sponsorship opportunity due to its structure, location long History and affiliation with The Parramatta Two Blue Rugby Union Club. The Two Blue have teams represented in every competition, covering all age groups from the Junior Rep Teams to the Toohey’s New Shute Shield, a broad range of membership can be reached through an effective sponsorship arrangement.
The Club is located in Dundas, adjoining Parramatta which is considered to be the second largest CBD in NSW and in the centre of the Greater Western Sydney region. This alone is a truly unique opportunity because of the partnership with the Two Blues Club this reaches the entire region, giving it the opportunity to attract high numbers of supporters and high recognition amongst the people and business.
The History of Dundas Valley and the Parramatta Two Blues is another underlying factor of this unique sponsorship opportunity. With the Two Blues having three victories out of the eight Grand final appearances, two being in succession and with the club producing Australian Representatives such as Ray Price, Tony Melrose. Andrew Leeds and Tatafu Polota-Nau, the Dundas Valley and the Two Blues have a long notable name in Australian Rugby. In addition to this, the Dundas Valley Rugby Football Club is proud to call former Two Blues and newly appointed Randwick head coach former wallaby and NSW Waratahs Assistant Coach Gary Ella as friend of our great Rugby Club. His high profile has opened doors for the club and enabled more corporate support to be generated.

Sam Cordingley
A competitive scrum half with a flat, accurate pass and the ability to dart through a gap, Sam began his Super Rugby career in the shadow of George Gregan at the Brumbies before moving to Queensland to get his chance at the number 9 jersey. Made his test debut in 2000 but moved to the northern hemisphere in 2002.
Back in Australia after three seasons in France and the UK, Sam was the front running Australian halfback early in the 2006 competition before a foot injury in his 50th match for the Reds ended his season.
However the form and class he showed in his seven appearances was enough to earn him selection in the 2006 Wallabies squad and he added six national caps to his tally before the ruccurring Lisfranc foot problem cut his Wallaby campaign and kept him out of the Reds for the whole 2007 Super 14. Made his return to national duty with Australia A and won selection in the 2007 Rugby World Cup side, coming off the bench against Fiji and started against Canada in the final pool round.
He was appointed captain of the QR Reds in March 2008, succeeding John Roe.
Despite announcing his decision to head overseas at the end of 2008, Sam won selection in the 2008 Wallaby squad and came on as a replacement against for his 15th test cap
