Firsts at home, Seconds away and Colts at home
This saturday Duns entertain unbeaten league leaders Preston Lodge at the Hardens in what will be a very tough match indeed.
Preston Lodge have won all 14 of their league matches to date, and have scored a try bonus point in each one. Duns lie 13 points adrift in second place and have only three games remaining. A win for PL will therefore guarantee the East 1 Championship for the East Lothian club.
Duns Seconds were due to have entertained North Berwick 3rds in the RBS Reserve league, but North Berwick have been suffering from a lack of numbers and have withdrawn from the league.
Instead, a friendly match has been hastily arranged away to Portobello Seconds. Strangely, Portobello 2nds were due to have played North Berwick 2nds in their league, but once again North Berwick have called off. Worrying times indeed for our friends at North Berwick.
Finally, the Colts were due to have a free weekend, but with a pitch now available for a home match they have been able to re-schedule their postponed fixture against Berwick Colts in the Border Semi-Junior League. That match takes place at the NEW Berwickshire High School.
All three matches kick off at 2 pm - please try to get along to one of the games to lend your support.
