The work side saw several club members and players lending support to our roofing contractors as the new roof was at last fitted to the dressing rooms. With the roof now watertight, we can crack on with tiling, plumbing and decorating to complete the dressing room refurbishments and extension.
On the pitch, others were helping to lay foundations for our new goal posts on 1st & 2nd team pitches. The sockets will go in next week before the new posts, which are hinged for easy maintenance are erected before our pre-season friendlies start on 15th August.
In the afternoon, we saw our legendary cricket team take on our players for a great afternoon of entertaining cricket, whilst on the 1st team pitch our younger families enjoyed an afternoon of games, bouncy castle and a BBQ.
