Cwmllynfell, who finished third in Division 1 West last season with 13 wins and 1 draw, ahead of our last week’s opponents Waunarlwydd, lost 20-25 to Bonymaen on the opening day of the season. Last weekend they suffered a shock 21-17 defeat at Ystalyfera, last season’s Division 3 South West Champions. Dunvant have not yet found their expected form and will rue their missed chances for victory against Waunarlydd which left us in 12th place on 1 point. Cwmllynfell are little better placed in 10th with two losing bonus points.
Our last meeting was a Swalec Plate Round 1 match at Broadacre in October 2010 with Dunvant winning 26-25 in a thrilling encounter. Our last league meetings were in Division 1 West in2008/9 with Cwmllynfell winners of both games. Both teams will be keen to secure victory this weekend to keep in touch with the pack and climb the table..
