With RGC having won promotion to the Premiership on Saturday we now know the 12 teams who will make up the Championship in 2016-17

We have never met Beddau or Bedlinog in the National Leagues but have met Glynneath at Dunvant in 2003-4 in the Swalec Cup Round 1. Skewen and Newcastle Emlyn we last met in 2013-14, Narberth in 2008-09, Tata Steel in 2007-08 and Cardiff Met in 2002-03. You have to go back 15 years to 2001-02 for our last meetings with Glamorgan Wanderers, Newbridge and Pontypool.
It should be an exciting challenge for Dunvant next season. Good luck boys, you have earned it, let's go out and enjoy it whatever the results.
The table below shows the results of our last games with each of the teams we have played.

Remember, there is no promotion from the Championship to the Premiership for 3 years. The two teams that finish bottom of the Championship will be relegated into Division 1 on a geographic basis.
For promotion from Division 1 to the Championship for season 2017-18 will see two teams promoted. The winners of Division 1 West will play off on a home and away basis with the winners of Division 1 West Central, the highest aggregate score will be declared the winner.Likewise winners of 1 East will play the winners of 1 East Central.
