The evergreen Rob Jones 28 bowled Jon Welch and a hard hitting Mani 28 not out were the other main run getters. The wicket takers for Dunvant were Wayne Tucker 8 overs 2 wickets for 29, Shane Pienaar 10 overs 2 wickets for 52 runs, Jon Welch 6 overs 2 wickets for 42 runs and Lee Tucker 5 overs 1 wicket for 21 runs. Ceri Phillips showed he has not lost any of his prowess behind the sticks with a superb display behind the sticks taking 2 catches. The batsmen soon realised there was not a run for the throw when young Cameron Tucker was throwing in from the boundary. Sketty Church finished up with a respectable 205 for 7.
In reply Dunvant opened with Owen Lewis and Ralph Richards. When Owen went for 10 runs Ralph was joined by Shane Pienaar and between them steadied the ship with a partnership of 130 runs. Ralph Richards 71 which included 12 fours and 1 six, Shane reached 63 which included 8 four and 2 sixes. Ryan Howell added a useful 21 not out which included 4 fours. He was joined by the hard hitting Rob John and at that stage we needed 27 runs in 6 overs. He promptly hit off the runs in 7 balls which included 2 fours and 3 sixes. Dunvant finished 208 for 3. We then retired to the Joiners with some of the Church boys for a beer and a warm.
