Dunvant host 8th placed Glynneath in their 1st ever league visit to Broadacre with Dunvant hoping our home advantage will help to climb the table

Glynneath, formed in 1889 were the last winners of WWRU Section A in 1993/4. Entering into the National Leagues, they were Champions of Division 4 South West in 2007/8, Division 3 South West in 2010/11, Division 2 West in 2011/12 and Division 1 West in 2013/14. Promoted to the Championship they finished 10th/14 in 2014/15 with 9 wins and 65 tries followed by 10th /14 again last season with 9 wins and 56 tries. So far this season they sit in 8th place with 5 wins. 6 defeats and 22 tries scored. Their only ever visit to Broadacre was for a Swalec Cup Rd 1 game in 2003 when Dunvant (Div.2 West) won 48-5.
Dunvant lost 37-13 earlier this season at Abernant Park conceding 3 late tries, and now sit at the bottom of the table with 10 games left. It is critical that we start to get some points at home, even losing bonus points have been in short supply. We are the 5th highest try scorers in the league and the 5th highest points scorers but need to put in some solid defensive shifts to get some results. Hopefully, we can get a result today with the Broadacre faithful in full voice with their own Hymns & Arias, don’t let Max Boyce, Glynneath’s President out sing us. Don’t forget you red and green supporters- respect the Referee, respect the players, respect our opponents and enjoy the game, whatever the result, wherever you are. Be Loud-Be Proud
