Top of the Table Felinfoel with 2 games in hand have won 2 out of 3 games with Dunvant so far this season with the final league game this Saturday.

Our first meeting with Felinfoel this season was in the WRU Plate 1st round when in a very tight contest Dunvant edged the win with a 14-15 victory against a Felinfoel team with no subs. The second game saw Felinfoel visit Broadacre on 11th November when Felinfoel led 14-32 at half time., a torrent of penalties against Dunvant and 2 yellow cards saw Felinfoel go further ahead to lead 14-52 and then a great Dunvant fightback for a final score of 33-52 with both sides scoring 5 tries. Our 3rd meeting was in the semi final of the Swansea District Peter Lynn Cup on Friday 9th February at Gowerton RFC. Felinfoel romped into 24-0 lead and again Dunvant fought back for a more respectable score line of 24-14, so it is 2-1 to Felinfoel so far this season.
Felinfoel are now top of the table with 10 wins, one 5-5 draw at home to Llanelli Wanderers and a solitary 14-16 defeat at home to Penclawdd, With 42 tries scored they lead the table with 49 points. Dunvant, now in 2nd place after several months in top spot have played 2 games more with 10 wins, 4 defeats, 51 tries and 47 points. These local derbies are hard fought battles week in week out with many games too close to call. Dunvant will certainly want to restore the balance and be all out for victory to get that top spot back. What a cracker is in store.
Our boys really appreciate your support and you will certainly need to be in good voice for this one. Don’t forget you red and green supporters- respect the Referee, respect the players, respect our opponents and enjoy the game, whatever the result. Be Loud-Be Proud
