This is Gowerton’s first ever National league visit to Broadacre although we have played two friendlies in recent seasons. Gowerton, currently in 7th place are unlucky not to be 4th with last week’s home game vs Tenby being abandoned at 22-11 due to a serious injury. They are certainly a force to be reckoned with having won 6 try bonus points in 8 games played and will be looking for another one today. They are in fine form now they have found their feet in Division 1. A first game home victory against Llanelli Wanderers was followed by four successive defeats, home to Whitland & Felinfoel and away to Waunarlwydd and Llangennech. They are now on a three game unbeaten run with victories over Kidwelly, Loughor and Crymych.
For Dunvant, not having played at Broadacre for 5 weeks, now have three home games in a row to get back into their early season form. Last week’s game after 4 weeks out of action was a hard fought victory at Waunarlwydd by a much changed side.
This should be an absolute thriller and great atmosphere today with both sets of supporters on maximum volume.
