Tournament Alcohol Policy
In recent years Durham City Rugby Club has witnessed a significant increase in the number of student spectators bringing pre-purchased alcohol to Collegiate Floodlit matches. Consuming alcohol that has not been purchased on the premises directly violates the policy of the Rugby Club, and in agreement with Team Durham it has been decided to enforce the Club’s policy.
The Club Captain of each team will be responsible for ensuring that spectators affiliated to their College respect and adhere to the policy. The bar inside the Rugby Club will be open throughout and after the match.
PLEASE NOTE: Officials from the Rugby Club will be conducting patrols of the grounds and if the supporters from any College represented in the evenings match are found to be consuming pre purchased alcohol, the relevant team will be immediately removed from the Floodlit Competition.
