At the tender age of 21, Charlie has quite a playing pedigree ! Prior to joining City in 2016, Charlie had played for Northern RFC as well as being a member of the Falcons Academy U15-U17 and representing Northumberland County U15-U18.

Known as Scotty to his team mates, Charlie is usually found at fly-half and made his Senior debut upon joining City 3 years ago, playing in an away game against our old friends West Hartlepool. Not unsurprisingly, Charlie cites All-Black flyhalf Dan Carter, the highest point scorer in test rugby as his rugby hero, and his most memorable moment as playing at Allianz Park, home to the Saracens, in the semi-final of the Nat West Cup.

Charlie's commitment to City is without question; he can often be found on the pitch practicing his kicking whatever the weather and his perseverance has been rewarded with a regular place in the 1st XV. Keep up the good work Charlie !
