Earlsdon RFC M&J vikings tour to chapel st leonards (skeggy)

Friday 6 April 2018, 12:00 to Monday 9 April 2018, 12:00

Back to Calendar

Earlsdon RFC M&J (under 6's-U17's) are going on tour to Golden Palms , Chapel St Leonards resort.

We have booked 70 caravans ranging from $215 to £315 (8 or 6 berth) .

We will be setting off from home or a coach from the rugby club from 12:00 Friday 6th April 2018 (coach will be $10 per person and will give you first refusal on trips whilst on tour).

We should be arriving from 14:00 onwards at golden Palms resort chapel St Leonards, and meeting in the main bar area to receive your caravan keys, and any tour kit ordered.

Once you have got your keys and kit, it is a "do what you like" evening, Settle in and if you like meet on the Friday evening in the bar for a chat and catch up.

Saturday morning is still being planned, but will either be a beach rugby day , or a trip to Fantasy Island or a visit to a local rugby club.

Saturday evening, is fancy dress, and the tour name would suggest your fancy dress attire (yep its Vikings). this is held in the main bar, and is being shut off for us if we like, and then its chatting and playing arcade games , and a few drinks of course late into the evening.

not too late mind, as it is an early Sunday morning. Coach/drivers will be leaving the site around 09:00 to get to Grimsby RFC for around 10 am . Where we are hoping we have the numbers to play every age group they have, plus a few from local side Cleethorpes.

After the game it is tradition to frequent the host club, and put a bit of money behind their bar and have a good old chat with the locals.

After that it is back to the resort for our traditional M&J kangaroo court. (around 15:00). We are being given the run of the staged area of the complex to hold it, and all tourists who have committed the most heinous crimes will have their chance to defend themselves with the help of the tour defence attorney .

The only rules of tour are:
must wear correct fancy dress for Saturday evening
must always have something red and white on them at all times
and must have a squeaky toy, and must squeak when squeak test is requested.

There will be snitches about, making sure we are all biding by the tour rules and telling on those infringe .

After kangaroo court , it is another free evening, where we can get together or do our own family things, it is up to you.

Monday morning is pack up and leave, after having an experience the kids will live with forever.

Each touring fully paid player, will get a free tour top to show off . and all non players will have the opportunity to purchase one (details will be out soon).

You will not be made/ to do anything you don't want to do, but trust me when I say, it is a lot more fun getting involved and enjoying the experience.

Tour deposits are now due in, and you can book your caravan with a $50 deposit , payable by cash or cheque at the club on some Wednesday evenings (training) or at the club most Sunday mornings .

If you have any questions, or wish to book, please talk to either myself or Jess McCaffrey (forced tour manager) , and get the tour forms filled out.

once all the numbers are in, and initial deposits are paid , we will open the tour account for any further payments ( only another £50 to be paid by the end of the year then the rest 1 month before we go).

Please feel free to contact me on 07791 525 775 or email if you wish to arrange to book.
