REST IN PEACE

1 year ago By Mick Roberts

PAM WARD

We are sad to have to say goodbye to Pam who passed away last week.
Pam was the wife of Club member John (Fred) Ward and mother of former player Neil and daughter Jeanette.
Pam had been associated with Earlsdon since before marrying Fred in 1966. Along with her contemporaries, she was for many years a stalwart of the kitchen engaged in the essential business of feeding the hungry players after the Saturday matches.
Through the years Pam followed the playing career of Neil, through the Mini & Juniors, Seniors, the Navy and the Police Force before returning to play again for Earlsdon. Pam also took great pleasure at seeing her Grandsons follow in the family traditions by playing for Earlsdons Minis.
Before her illness of the past few years, Pam was always a bundle of energy in organising many local events with her friends and neighbours and was always a great source of help and encouragement to her family.
Pam will always be remembered by all her friends as a lovely and kind person who will be greatly missed. Our heartfelt sympathies go out to Fred, Neil and Jeanette and their familiar upon such a tragic loss.

The funeral will take place on Friday 4th August, 1.45pm at Canley Crem and then back to Earlsdon RFCs Clubhouse in Mitchell Ave.
