Earlswood Town Football Club held there 48th Annual General Meeting

Earlswood Town Football Club held there 48th Annual General Meeting at their pavilion Headquarters in Malthouse Lane, Earlswood in June. Secretary and Treasurer Clive Faulkner regretfully resigned to take up the post of Secretary at Midland League Premier Division club Boldmere St, Michaels F.C. Clive stated that now that he had retired he was finding the travelling over to Earlswood was getting too much on matchdays and a couple of evenings during mid-week, especially in the winter months and has moved to Boldmere a club which is nearer his Sutton Coldfield home, although he will still remain in contact with the club being a Life Member. Committee members Alan Jones and Bob Deardon who also live in Sutton and travel with Clive also resigned. The club President thanked Clive for all the work he had done in his capacity of Secretary/Treasurer and wished him all the best in his position at Boldmere St. Michaels. She also thanked Alan and Bob for their efforts over the past years and stated that they all would forever be most welcome at Earlswood Town F.C. and we would look forward to them visiting us occasionally.

Mike Davies was elected club Chairman and Jim Jones Vice Chairman. Four new committee members, Brian Quigley, Karen Quigley, Colin Homer and Simon Quigley were also elected on to the committee.

The club are pleased to announce our new shirt sponsors Synergie Business Solutions who will be sponsoring both our home and away kits for the coming season. We heartily thank them and hope to have a long and happy bond with them. We are also in close contact and will be communicating soon with a couple of local businesses who are interested in sponsoring the club.

The club has also been busy off the field over the past few months improving our facilities. We have installed toilets in both the home and away dressing rooms and the referee’s changing rooms which should make them some of the best facilities in Divison 2 of the Midland League. Both groundsmen have also been very busy putting down lengths of new drainage on the pitch ready for the start of the new season.

If you need to contact me anytime my home number is above.

John Sharpe,

Press Officer.
