Opposition:

Alnwick Town currently sit bottom of Northern League Division Two with 10 points from 14 games.

Having won two of their opening three games, Alnwick have hit a barren spell and have gone 13 games without a win.

However, a positive first half saw the Magpies go 2-0 up at Hebburn Town in the League Cup on Wednesday night only to lose 3-2 in the end.

Previous to that, Alnwick lost 6-2 to Heaton Stannington and 3-0 to West Allotment Celtic.

Having recently brought in Georgi Raev as Assistant Manager, Alnwick will be traveling to the Welfare Park in search of three points.

Team news:

Brennan Ball is expected to miss out through a fractured hand but the likes of Liam Adamson and Shaun Smith are both expected to be in the squad.

Michael Cooke should return to the squad, but Jordan Hailes is likely to miss out as his recovery continues.

Easington Colliery made it back-to-back wins with a 4-3 win over Alnwick Town on Saturday afternoon.

Michael Bulmer fired the hosts into the lead only for Tony Brown to pull Alnwick level from the penalty spot. Samuel Perez fired Alnwick into a second half lead only for David Paul to level the scores. Bryan Norton’s deflected effort put the Green Army ahead again but Perez’s second made it all square. However, Chris Freeman fired home what proved to be a winner as Easington climbed to sixth in Northern League Division Two.

Ryan Douglas was sent off late for Alnwick who were unlucky not to take anything from their trip.
