NEW MANAGERS: Hughes and Veart appointed joint managers

1 year ago By Connor Lamb

Easington Colliery are delighted to announce the appointment of Craig Hughes and Craig Veart as joint managers.

This will be Veart's second spell at the club having coached the side last season. Veart left due to work commitments but expressed interest in the vacant manager's role.

In his playing days, Veart played a lot of Northern League football including for Whitby Town. He managed Horden CW eight years ago and spent a good stint at the Colliers as a coach before leaving towards the back end of last season.

Craig Hughes joins the club after an impressive interview in the recruitment process. Having played extensive Northern League football, this will be Hughes' first managerial job. With links to several clubs and several players, Hughes brings a fresh look to the club.

Hughes and Veart will work together and act as joint managers.

Interim managers Paul Adamson and Chris Pearson will revert back to their usual roles as chairman and captain.
