As the elected Board of Directors, we continue to review how the Club operates, functions and how to ensure our future is both secure whilst providing opportunities to continue to develop and grow. We have a tremendous team of volunteers in place covering all sections throughout the Club and only recently we have seen an introduction to a Women’s section, a Club member based formed PCA group (Parents & Coaches Association) both headed and run by Club volunteers and we announced our new Head of Rugby appointment at the beginning of the season.

With this is mind and to ensure we continue to develop as a club, we have requested and appointed Steve Snell to the role of Commercial Director. Steve is a long serving member of the club and has an insight into every section. Steve’s appointment is with immediate effect.

Steve will continue to support our Head of Rugby whilst handing over operational duties and roles he currently performs such as Safeguarding, Senior Registration and more. Again, to ensure we function as a large Club, this has led to the advertising and requirement for a Rugby Administrator in which we are currently seeking. Steve will be spending the next few months handing over whilst beginning his new role.
We are confident by making these changes that this will secure and aid the development of the club with a 3 – 5 year plan in place and to ensure financially we have funds available to support the needs and requirements of the Club.

The Commercial Director will be responsible to lead the growth of sponsorship relationships and other commercial opportunities on behalf of Eastbourne Rugby Club. Reporting to the Board of Directors, developing, securing and managing sponsorship properties that deliver great value for sponsor partners. Taking responsibility for managing Eastbourne Rugby’s commercial strategy and to be responsible for all fundraising, sponsorship and marketing activities. To drive profit and growth through identifying, creating and delivering commercial partner and sponsorship opportunities for Eastbourne Rugby.
