Eastbourne United AFC were denied victory over Newhaven after a 94th minute strike secured a share of the points following a 1-1 draw at The Oval

Wes Tate put United ahead with just under half an hour played with a low drive that beat Jake Buss at his near post, but the game turned on two decisions within five second half minutes. After consulting his assistant, the referee reduced United to ten men as debutant Acer Wake was dismissed for a professional foul with twenty minutes to play. Five minutes later, Charlie Osborne was scythed down outside the area by Buss, but the referee would only show the Newhaven 'keeper a yellow card, despite Osborne being through on goal.
The real sucker punch came in the fourth minute of injury time as Ryan Knight prodded the ball into the net to rescue a point for the Dockers.
