Club president David Healy compered the evening which began with a great meal kindly prepared by Alex Gilmour with the help of Bobby and David Rosie from the sports club. A raffle followed which included a signed Celtic ball amongst the prizes. Then we were entertained by another of Wilf’s ‘tales from the shed’ delivered by Matthew Kellett.

After some more words from David, medals were handed out to our junior players including some ‘All Stars’ players who joined over the summer.

David gave a brief review of the season past including a special mention to our 2nd XI who enjoyed a successful season where promotion to the Premier reserve league was secured.

There was then a presentation to outgoing junior convenor Michelle Kiely from her successor in the role, Stephen Newman and special thanks were given to her for all the hard work she has put in over the last few years.

The evening was rounded off with the announcement of the winners of the various player of the year trophies and those players who were in attendance were presented with the respective trophies.

The Player of the Year Winners were as follows:

1st XI - Kess Sajjad
2nd XI - Iftikhar Khan
U18 - Blair Meikle
U11 - Lewis Shek

Congratulations to all the winners and thanks to all who turned up for what was a most enjoyable evening.
