Last Friday saw more than 70 people from Under 10s and their parents all the way up to 1st XI players attend the end of season dinner and awards evening.

Everyone present enjoyed a lovely 3 course meal thanks to the Shane Armitage and his catering company before settling down to after dinner speeches from guest speaker Richard Young and our very own Matthew Kellett who brought the latest, very entertaining volume of 'Thoughts from the Shed'

In addition, the evening was also about the presentation of awards for the various teams for all round performances and also individual performances.

In the voted categories the results were:

1st XI Player of the Year: Ross Lyons
2nd XI Player of the Year: Shahid Mahmood
Junior Player of the Year: Liam Lawwell

Performance awards were as follows:

Comemorative bats for '100s': Ross Lyons (x3), Harmanjit Singh(x1) and Moneeb Iqbal (x1)
Cricket Ball Plaques for '5-Fors': Ross Lyons

Further awards were then presented to juniors including recognition of 50s for:

Matthew Deighan, Liam Lawwell and Calum Edmond.

Recognition for his superb organisational contribution towards nearly team in the club went to Guarav Rajmohan.

The awards were rounded off with medals for all the Under 11s present who enjoyed a great year of hard ball cricket.

The dinner was booked ended by a very enjoyable and successful raffle.
