So this week at junior training was always going to be a bit hit or miss... the october holidays were in full flow so after the sell out crowd the week before.. who knew how many were going to turn up?

As it turns out, alot more than the author thought would!

The day had initially been planned for the first whole session, whole hall game of the training programme... however being adaptable and sensing a mood to carry on with the technical skills we had been working on for the last few weeks, it was decided to revisit our batting skills.

With the set ups falling into place nicely and the initial pickup and need to get forward all falling into shape... today seemed like the perfect day to work on getting feet moving to the pitch of the ball. And that was demonstrated with aplomb by all present. The drills were worked hard on and then in the technical game at the end, there were some crisp defensive shots from Brayden, some booming cover drives from Caroline (takes after her coach!) and some absolutely crunching sweeps from Fergus... to name but a few highlights!

Great work by all involved that I hope to build on next week!
