EK Sports Club Development

Plans for the development of a 3G football pitch, with stand and five-a-side football pitches have been approved by the local council, the facilities to be provided by the East Kilbride Community Trust.

Construction work is well underway, with the anticipated completion date scheduled for January 2011.

These will be a welcome addition to the facilities at the Sports Club, with other sports sections, including rugby permitted to use the facilities.

This will be a great boost during the winter, when the Torrance House facilities are sometimes a tad muddy (although we do use the 3G pitches at Bent Road, Hamilton on a Thursday evening from 8 pm).

The Sports Club is keen to enhance its facilities, and has undertaken a steady programme of club improvements. This relies heavily on the contributions of members. Any external support, whether financial, human or material is always welcome. Contact the President of the Sports Club on 01355 236001.
