The P7 squad with eight missing still had more than enough to win the Carthage Festival , Cartha Queens Park were beaten. 10...1 within a hatrick for Euan Ferrie and Lewis Brown and Connor Mcgill increasing his value every week with another try. Also on the scoresheet was Matthew Fletcher with a opportunist try , Helensburgh who initially gave us a few problems were eventually beaten 7..2 it was level at half time and Coach Ferrie did the motivational team talk and it worked with five unanswered tries in the second half. Matthew Bell and Matthew Brown both with a Double.. Greenock were beaten easily in game three 8....1 with kinky Jamie Robb and Craig mcneil and further tries for messrs Bell and Ferrie and Brown . Also Euan Ross who was outstanding with his tackling all afternoon scored with his now expected burst up the left wing. Bisopton assisted by Rhys Jones and Connor McGill and Matthew Brown (thanks guys)! We're beaten 9 ...1 with Matthew Smith a absolute workhorse that he is rewarded with a try. A unsung hero if their ever was one ...Connor nearly scored for Bishopton with a scintillating run up the wing only to be foiled right on the line by his Ek team mates .. Very unlucky Connor. Ryan Mason picked up a Double making it three in a week for newcomer well done Ryan keep it up ... Overall the coaches were pleased the rucking and mauling is improving with the physicality to knock teams of the ball was good . The pressure rugby. As always was good ,ball in hand and moving the ball quickly. Down to the speedy Gonzales on the wing needs more work. Back to training next week then off to Ayr. The following week for ayr Stirling and Marr. .... To coin a line from Masterchef. ( RUGBY DOESN'T GET BETTER THAN THIS!!!! Well done again boys keep it up..... Charlie Gordon Gordon Euan
