This update covers this weekend’s rugby, forthcoming social events (lots of eating opportunities!), and your last chance to order tickets for the Autumn (November) internationals and the 2015 Six Nations matches.

We now have prices for the away matches. Deadline for applications is Sunday 12 Oct for Autumn Tests and 18 Oct for Six nation Tickets. You need to pay now for Autumn Tests. Six Nations payment not due until 14 Nov for home matches and 31 December for away matches.

1. Rugby This weekend:

Sat 11 Oct – 1st XV away to Dunfermline, 3pm kick off. 2nds at home to Shawlands, 3 pm ko.

Sun 12 Oct – Mini Training only.

2. STAG DINNER, 18 OCTOBER

It’s the senior Club’s Annual Stag Dinner (albeit ladies are welcome if they wish to come along!). Tickets a snip at £25. Kicks off 7.30pm. 3. ACADEMY PATRONS LUNCH, SATURDAY 1 NOVEMBER

It’s the annual Patron’s Lunch on Sat 1 November. It is usually very well subscribed but they say they are happy to try to find space for extra people. They say it is a snip at £40 – a venison lunch (so not deer at all!!).

It starts at 11am [as we are on to 2pm rugby kick offs] with lunch served at 1130; the 1st XV play RHC at 2pm and you will receive half time refreshments, if interested. 4. EAST KILBRIDE INTERNATIONAL SPORTS TRUST GALA SPORTS DINNER, FRIDAY 7 NOVEMBER

The Rugby Club (all sections) has been invited to make up a table at the EKIST’s Annual Gala Dinner. A 7pm for 7.30pm kick off at the Bruce Hotel in EK. It’s one of their main fund raisers to help sponsor various local sports clubs.

5. FORMER EKRFC PLAYERS/MEMBERS LUNCH, 29 NOVEMBER AT EK SPORTS CLUB

By popular demand (of former players/members), we are hosting another of our former players/members lunches on Saturday 29 November. Please spread the word to any former players you can contact. Numbers will be limited to 100 (possibly less) so no time to lose to reserve your place.

6. TICKETS FOR THE AUTUMN TESTS: SCOTLAND V ARGENTINA/NEW ZEALAND/TONGA

Unless you contact me (AND pay for your tickets by Sunday 12 October), if you want tickets for Scotland’s matches in November against Argentina (8 Nov); world champions New Zealand (15 Nov) – both at Murrayfield – and Tonga (22 Nov – at Rugby park, Kilmarnock), you will need to order your tickets through the club’s online ticket link [click here]. You do not need to be a member of the club to use the link/order tickets.

To check prices click here to get in to the documents section of the website where the application form lists the prices or look at the SRU website. Buying through the SRU rather than the club incurs a ticket fee.

7. 2015 SIX NATIONS TICKETS – PLACE AN ORDER BY 18 OCTOBER

The deadline for placing an order for 2015’s Six Nations HOME and AWAY matches is fast approaching – it is 18 October. You can view ticket prices on the application form by clicking here and going in to the section called Application for International Tickets. AWAY Matches – we now have prices for the away matches:

[b]France (Sat 7 Feb, ko 5pm Paris time)[/b] - £62 or £47 or £33. There may be minor fluctuations in prices due to exchange rates by the time you need to pay. If you are going to Chalons, and want to watch Scotland, order now.

[i]England (Sat 14 March, ko 5pm) - £85 or £41[/i]. SRU say that £41 tickets will be in very short supply (as usual!). If demand exceeds supply, I will decide how we distribute our allocation as fairly as possible.
