In July last year, the club asked all players to pay their annual subs in full or setup a payment scheme with the Club Treasurer, Ben Bridger before the season commenced. Unfortunately after a recent review by the committee only 39 players out the 238 who have played this season have paid they're annual subs in full and only another 14 players have partly paid with some having given as low as £5 so far!
This is unfortunately not acceptable. It's your club and as your club it relies on your contribution as a player and of annual subs to be able to pay for the club house and the facilities we all enjoy.
Your match day and annual subs pay for all of the following:
- Club House Rent and Utilities (gas, water and electric)
- The Pitches and other facilities inc. the hire of All Weather 3G Training Pitch and extra changing rooms
- 3 very high standard Coaches (one is a volunteer)
- Match Day and Training Equipment inc. Post Protectors, Rugby Balls, Cones etc.
- Referees' expenses and annual contribution to the Referees Society
- League Entry
- Insurance
- Food
- RFU Fines!
- Kit and Laundry
- First Aid
Players who have not paid anything towards their annual subs or have only paid a minute amount will be contacted by their respective team captains over the next few weeks to try and help rectify the issue.
If you cannot afford to pay in full at this time, due to the time of year and financial climate it is understandable but you must set up a direct debit with the club to ensure that what is owed is paid before the end of the season in April.
To confirm, annual subs are £80 for the season. 50% discount is available to students, unemployed and senior citizens. Social memberships are also just £40 for the whole season.
Match Day Subs will be next up for a comprehensive review...
Guys it's very important that you pay up. We have outstanding debts that need to be paid.We are happy for payment in installments. As John says it's your club you need to take responsibility .
