ENCOURAGING WINS FOR EAST LONDON 2s AND 3s

Victories over tough opponents

East London‘s second team the Wyverns and third team both recorded encouraging wins on Saturday (10 December) against tough opponents.
The 2nd XV won 20-10 away at Woodford 2s thanks to tries from centre Corey Griffiths, prop Adrian Samuel and full back Sean Cooper. Scrum-half Jacob Williams kicked a conversion and penalty.
The Wyverns are now fifth in the Shepherd Neame Essex Merit Table Division One with 34 points and having played a game less that than the teams above them. On Saturday (17 December) they are at home at the Memorial Ground in West Ham against Brentwood 2s. Kick-off is 2pm.

East London’s 3s came from a 12-0 deficit at half-time to beat Ilford 3s by 15-12 at the Memorial Ground in West Ham on Saturday (10 December).
Two tries from right wing Jordan Frederick plus a conversion and a penalty by fly-half Jack McAllister sealed the victory.
McAllister, skippering the team for the first time, said: “It was a great game, especially coming back from a dozen points down. It was among the toughest games we’ve had this season.”
East London sit third in Shepherd Neame Essex Merit Table Division Five on 31 points, just three behind leaders Westcliff 4s.
