Three wins and one defeat
East London's 1st XV won 29-26 away at Southwold to keep their hopes of promotion from London 3 North East division alive.
In other matches at the weekend, East London's second team the Wyverns won 27-14 away at Thurrock 2s to remain in the hunt for second spot in Shepherd Neame Essex Merit Table division one. Three points currently separate four teams behind runaway leaders Eton Manor 2s. Other teams have finished their league matches but East London still have to play Woodford 2s at home that could see them snatch the runner-up position.
East London 3s lost 21-31 at home to Eton Manor 4s in the final league fixture of Shepherd Neame Essex Merit Table division five. They finished in a creditable fourth position on 60 points.
On Sunday (5 March) East London ladies recorded an away walkover victory after Chelmsford Ladies couldn't raise a team. They remain in third place in Women's National Challenge South East North 1 division.
