Moor move up to fourth

by john nicholson

Eastmoor dragons at the weekend played there third away game in four games and came away worthy winners.
Eastmoor started the game very well with man of the match thomas Wrigglesworth coursing Heworth all kind of problems with his strong running from the full back position. First on the score sheet was Louis Andrews after Calum Hudson hared round Heworths defence and unselfishly passed to allow the speedy winger to score.Heworth than came back and scored a fine try .The Dragons then picked their self's up and strong running from the forwards piled the pressure on heworth with Joe Turner powering over to put the dragons in front. Again the dragoons took the foot off the gas and aloud heworth back in. half time and the teams were all even. It was Heworth who started the brighter in the second period and took the lead which sparked the Dragons into life. After great work again from all the team Lee Durber broke away to score a long range try. Eastmoor were now working well with little general and man of steel Robbie Powell directing play Jordan Oxley was next on the score sheet when he spotted a gap and pounced over to punish heworth. The dragons were now well in charge and Durber burst onto the ball to grab is second. Only a strong defence lead by top tackler James Barrnett kept heworth at bay. with Robbie Powell finishing off the scoring Calum hudson kicked five goals in a game which saw the young dragons start to gel as a team and show glimpse's of what were hoping to see more of . Luke Peel in only his third game for eastmoor took the coaches award for a good display
