Poor Performance Ends in Heavy defeat
Three Bridges score seven as they strengthen their promotion chances
A poor performance from East Preston saw them slide to their heaviest league defeat of the season away at Three Bridges 2-7.
Bridges were three goals up by the fourteenth minute and from that point there was only going to be one winner it was just a question of damage limitation for EP.
Although Bridges got an early second half goal two goals from Jack Barnes (58 mins) and Dan Huet (60 mins) saw a mini revival from EP which was killed off after 67 mins when Bridges got their fifth. Bridges then went on the score two more to take the three points and strengthen their promotion hopes.
Manager Bob Paine said 'Very difficult day for us as we gave away some very poor goals. To be 0-3 down after 14 minutes the game was gone. We knew Bridges would be strong and they obviously had not forgotten being beaten by us at the Lashmar. You learn a lot more about players in these situations and I hope the group reflect on their performance both individually and as a team. The only positive is we play again on Tuesday so we will see what we are made of and if we can put this behind us. A tough experience for the team one which I hope the group will learn from.'
