Skipper, Sam Bradley reflects on Eccleshill's dominant 6-0 victory and looks ahead to another important fixture this weekend.

Last weekend saw one of our best performances of the season in my opinion as the lads dug in and put out another confident display with plenty of goals to enjoy as well.

It was always going to be another squad effort with Chris Lever, who has been great since coming in this season, and top scorer Luke Harrop both missing, but yet again everyone who got a chance stepped up and we showed just how strong our squad is.

We started off the game at a great tempo which was good to see and it certainly paid off by the goals we got as well as the other chances we created. Obviously the red card was a major turning point in the game and it killed the match in truth, but we were already two ahead by that point so we had a healthy lead before they dropped to 10 men.

It was great to have a game where we finally took our chances and scored plenty of goals, it's been a long time coming and it was good to see, especially since they were all top quality finishes as well.

However, as a defender I was particularly pleased at the fact we got yet another clean sheet. I thought defensively as a team we looked solid and Worsbrough never really looked like scoring which was another positive to take from the game.

I thought Charlie (Flaherty) was a particular stand out, his performance was immense at right midfield and he put in a great shift to say he was out of position, which just shows his quality.

Another big positive for me was the fact we got to give a couple of the young lads a run out. It's great to see them getting in and around the squad and having some playing time when the opportunity is right, the future at the club is bright with talented boys coming up and keeping everyone on their toes.

Yet again there was a fantastic atmosphere at the ground thanks to the cheerleaders. They really do add to the overall match day feel and the lads really appreciate it.
I'd also like to thank George Wood for his brilliant match day photographs as well as Matt and Dan for their continued media work, the coverage was brilliant as ever.

The boys are taking things one game at a time now, although I would love us to go undefeated for the rest of the season to really push the teams above us and see just how strong we can finish; but we aren't getting carried away.

There is a brilliant mood around the club at the moment and everyone is positive both on and off the pitch and if we can maintain that moving into next season I am confident we can achieve big things here.

Finally, I would just like to say that it is great to hear about the signing of Liam Bartle, I've heard good things from the lads who have played with him before and that can only strengthen the squad further. There's going to be some difficult decisions for Sean (Regan) to make on Saturday but that is a good headache for him to have.

See you at the game,

Sam Bradley
(Club Captain)
