Sam Bradley reflects on Eccleshill's recent draw with Rossington Main.

It was a frustrating game last Saturday which saw plenty of positives and negatives for us to take away.

One positive was how strong the squad currently is, especially with Marcus Edwards making his return from injury it gives Sean Regan plenty to think about with his selections and that is a good problem for us to have.

In terms of the game, I thought we started very well and looked good in the first half with two great goals from Alex Cusack being well taken. However, it was the familiar case of us failing to take our chances, something that we need to start putting right immediately, that we paid the price for again.

We were not the same in the second half, our intensity dropped and we stopped creating chances. There are no easy games in this league and maybe our mindset coming out after the break wasn't right but Rossington worked hard and a draw was a fair result so full credit to them.

Charlie Flaherty's last minute tackle also deserves a mention as it was the best tackle I've seen this season and without it, we would have come away from the game with no points. His dedication and hard work is something that's been talked about a lot this season but Charlie really is a credit to the club.

The lads were left frustrated in the changing room after the game, but we have now gone three games unbeaten which show improvement although we know that should have been three wins in a row.

On a personal note, I unfortunately pulled my neck during the game, but I am hoping to be available for the game tomorrow note which will be another very tough test.

Finally, I would just like to mention the atmosphere at the Mitton Group Stadium last weekend, it was brilliant and there was a real buzz about the place. Twinz Dance group certainly add a lot when they are here and their support is very much appreciated.

See you at the game,
Sam Bradley (club captain)
