The team played in the West Riding Under 21 Floodlit League, Division One.
The club has folded due to poor player turnout in training, as well as travel issues, with the vast majority of their league games scheduled to be played in Castleford for evening kick-offs.
Due to the team being an under 21's side, many of the players could not drive to and from the games, with kick-off times taking public transport away as a travel option.
Set-up as a way of preparing the club's brightest prospects for a run in the senior team, the under 21's played only one competitive fixture in the league, losing to Garforth 3-0 in September.
Manager Ian Armstrong said: "I am saddened at the news and feel a little let down, but also proud of what we achieved.
"Both Ethan Lebad and Scott Stein have progressed to become regulars in the first team set-up, which shows that the under 21's has to some extent served it's purpose.
"With commitment and desire, the raw talent we had unearthed could really have gone on to bigger and better things.
"I wish to say a big thank you to Craig Henderson for his fantastic help with the admin side of the team, as well as Adrian Benson (Eccleshill United chairman) and Sean Regan (first team manager) for allowing me to take control of the under 21's."
