Both of the clubs Under 9's teams had plenty to celebrate as they continued their fantastic starts to the season.

All great footballers start young, and it appears that our Blues Junior Under 9's teams are proving to have great potential.

In what has been a brilliant start to the season for both teams, this past weekend showcased their best team performances of the season, leaving the managers proud of their squads development.

First off, the Under 9's Eagles who took on Guisley in wet and muddy conditions, but the youngsters didn't let the weather dampen their spirits.

Eccleshill took the lead after only four minutes of play, through a good strike from Leon B, and only two minutes later Thomas S went on to make it 2-0 after a brilliant one two with Jack L.

It was a perfect start from the Eagles and on the 11th minute Callum A headed in from the edge of the box after an excellent delivery via Thomas' corner.

It stayed like that for the first quarter due to some great defending from George F and Mitchell H as well as some outstanding saves from Kian B.

The second quarter saw Guiseley get back into the game, pulling one back five minutes in to make it 1-3.

But the Eagles response was fantastic, getting back on track soon after when Leon struck his 2nd of the game to make it 1-4 after a good pass from Harrison.

The Eagles continued to play some fantastic football but couldn't score and went on to concede two soft goals to make It 3-4 going into the final spell of the game.

Some great words from Dave Fell and Liam Sugden before the players entered the field got the boys raring to go and put the game to bed.

A minute into the last quarter Leon latched onto a Freddie W cross to score his hat-trick to make it 3-5 and then six minutes later Thomas cropped up to score his 2nd of the day.

A brilliant ball from Callum in the middle of the park found Thomas who went past two defenders to slot it beyond the Guiseley goalkeeper to make it 3-6.

A fantastic game from all the players who worked there socks off and another fantastic game from the best goalkeeper in the league kian. Man of the match was given to both Leon and kian.

Now onto the Under 9 Hawks who took on local rivals Eccleshill United (Sports Club) in a game that wasn't quite as closely contested.

A fantastic game today from all the players saw everyone play a big part in the 17-2 win, with all the players apart from the goalkeeper having a share of the goals.

With the game meaning a lot to all our players it meant more to former Eccleshill United player Thomas S who scored 8 goals and also got the man of the match.

Thomas was ecstatic after the game claiming, "I am at the best and biggest club in Bradford and I am so glad to be part of the Blues and glad to be part of the Eccleshill 1st team as a mascot and ball boy"

A fantastic weekend for both our Under 9's squads who all braved difficult conditions, showcasing that the future is certainly bright for Eccleshill United.
