Eccleshill United take to the road for the first time during Pre-Season, traveling to local side Golcar United for their next Summer fixture.
After two defeats on the bounce against Bradford Park Avenue and Garforth Town, the Eagles will be looking to pick up their first victory of Pre-Season, one which their performances have merited.
Two games against quality opposition have allowed Sean Regan to get a good understanding of his current squad whilst players have begun to gel together and begin to look comfortable on the pitch.
The game against Golcar will provide the new signings a further chance to impress and gel, something that Marcus Edwards believes has been happening "Quite fast."
It won't be an easy game by any means as Golcar look to prove they can compete with teams in the NCEL as they prepare to mount a promotion push this season, meaning Regan's side will have to be on top of their game to get a positive result.
Having conceded 10 goals in the opening two games of Pre-Season that will be one area that the Eagles will be desperate to rectify ahead of the season's first game.
Regan stressed that this game provides his squad with another chance to prove they should be in his starting 11 for the opening game saying, "It’s more of a test in relation to the guys we’re looking to start our season with and the team we want to put out, so it’s up to them to deal with that and prove a point."
It is set to be another exciting open game, and hopefully, this time, Eccleshill will be walking away victors as they then prepare for Tuesday's clash with Bradford City.
