Eccleshill United are back in action tomorrow night as they host AFC Emley in the Eagles latest NCEL League fixture as they look to return to winning ways.
- Eccleshill United host AFC Emley
- Kick off is 7.45pm.
- First time the two sides have met this season.
Following Saturday's postponed fixture away at Winterton Rangers, it will be a welcome return to action for Sean Regan's side, who now face two games in the space of four day's and they will be hoping to start that with a home victory before this weekend's away trip to Hallam.
Tomorrow's visitors travel to Bradford in good form having only lost one game in their last six performances, with their defeat taking place during their latest outing against Cleethorpes Town in the FA Vase, and they will be hoping to bounce back immediately.
After missing out on promotion last season through penalties the Huddersfield based side are once again aiming to move out of the division and after a slow start to the campaign, Emley has begun positioning themselves to do so, sitting just one place behind the play off spots. Once again star striker Ashley Flynn has been leading the charge for Emley, scoring 20 goals already this season and he will be looking to cause problems for the Eccleshill back four.
However, Eccleshill's own top scorer, Luke Harrop will be aiming to continue his own impressive run of form and with several players returning to the squad following the defeat to Glasshoughton Welfare, Sean Regan will once again have a strong squad to select from.
Having failed to beat Emley last season Eccleshill are set to be working harder than ever to prove a point against Emley, and if last season's away trip (highlights here-https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b9IBJMQHZo4) is anything to go by there is no doubt that the Eagles can compete against the visitors.
With several new signings looking to impress and some promising Under 21's coming through the ranks, there is a great energy about the Eccleshill squad who are now aiming to turn in a consistent run of performances to begin climbing back towards the top of the table, starting with tomorrow's clash with Emley.
