The Eagles are back in league action on Saturday, and will be looking to show their bounce back ability following a disappointing run of three consecutive defeats.

They face an 8th place Selby side who are in formidable form, losing only once in their last eight games, and they will be looking to continue that form and prove to be a stern test for Eccleshill.

Selby have climbed the table and are in contention for promotion themselves, so the game is perfectly poised as the two teams have an early season battle for play-off spots.

Eccleshill on the other hand desperately need a win, as they have struggled to recapture the form that saw them storm to top of the league early in the season.

October has been a tough month for The Eagles, and the players know they need to kick start their season now following an inconsistent spell.

Currently sitting in 11th place, Eccleshill are only four points away from the play-off spots, a win on Saturday would help get them back in amongst those spots.

Eagles manager Sean Regan will be looking for a positive reaction from his players following a poor spell which has seen them slip down the ranks and record consecutive defeats to relegation threatened teams.

The squad has been chopped and changed a lot this season, but Eccleshill will need regulars Luke Harrop and Marcus Edwards on top form to overcome Selby.

Callum Ward is a danger man for the home side, and he goes into the game off the back of a four goal haul in a 7-4 away win against Brigg Town.

Eccleshill’s last game was a poor away display which saw them blown away 3-0 by rock bottom side Nostell Miners Welfare.
