The Eagles are looking to extend their unbeaten run to six games on Wednesday night, when they welcome Yorkshire Amateurs to the Mitton Group Stadium, in a rearranged league fixture.
Sean Regan's side go into the game off the back of a 1-1 draw away to one of the leagues form sides Shirebrook Town, who have been battling hard to ensure their safety in the division.
Yorkshire Amateurs ended a four game winless streak in their last outing, when they defeated Teversal 3-0 at home. They will be going into the game with a bit of a boost thanks to that win, and will be looking to close the four point gap between themselves and 12th placed Winterton Rangers even further.
Eccleshill slipped one place to 10th following Saturday's draw, but this game in hand could see them climb back into 9th placed above Glasshoughton Welfare, provided they win or draw.
The last meeting between these two saw some late drama, when Eagles skipper Sam Bradley netted his second goal of the game from a corner in the dying minutes, to seal a 3-2 win for Eccleshill United.
New signing Liam Bartle made his second debut for the club after re-signing last week, when he came on for around 30 minutes in Shirebrook. He boosts Sean's options for the game and offers an extra option as we enter the end of season run in.
Another boost for Eccleshill is the return of Luke Harrop, who came back into the side on Saturday, after missing two games due to illness. He netted the equalizer on his return, taking his goal tally to 20 for the season, and it is likely he will have an impact on the game on Wednesday night.
Yorkshire Amateurs will be a tough challenge for The Eagles, but Sean Regan's side have shown solid form in 2017, so they will be hoping to carry on that form and gain another three points on Wednesday night.
The game is finely poised, and promises to be an entertaining spectacle as two good footballing sides come together, and will battle it out in a hotly contested game.
