It is the final away day of the season for Eccleshill United in what is going to be a crucial game in the chase for promotion in the NCEL Division One between two teams in fine form.
The Eagles currently sit in second place hoping to extend the gap between themselves and the chasing Play-Off pack, whilst Hallam FC will be aiming to continue their lats push for a spot in the Play-Offs.
Hallam currently sits just one place outside of the Play-Off group with only four points separating them and Glasshoughton, but with two games in hand, the hosts will be confident they can earn a spot.
They head into the game with plenty of confidence too as one of the leagues most on-form sides with a 12-game unbeaten run, but after two consecutive draws, the squad will be aiming to return to winning ways at the expense of the Eagles.
Sean Regan's side also travels to the game with an unbeaten run of eight games, having won the last two. Eccleshill's last outing on Monday proved to be a significant one as the squad came from behind to defeat local rivals Campion in a thrilling derby day encounter, and Regan will be hoping for more of the same from his side.
With Antony Brown and Luke Harrop both enjoying a purple patch in front of goal, the Hallam defense will be wary of what attacking threats the Eagles boast. Regan will also be boosted by the return of Chris Lever who is back from serving his suspension and available for selection.
It should be a thrilling game this afternoon in what is a must-win match for both sides who are in great form with the Eagles being more than happy to take the same result as the reverse fixture, which was a 1-0 win decided by a penalty.
