Following Wednesday night’s gritty and hard fought three points away at Athersley Rec, The Eagles welcome promotion candidates Worksop Town to the Mitton Group Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Sean Regan saw his side show great character on Wednesday night, which he will hope to see in another important clash tomorrow.

Steve Hollingworth and Jake Thompson both go into the game brimming with confidence, after their first goals for the club helped secure the first three points of the season in midweek.

Worksop have looked very solid so far this season, winning their league opener against Liversedge before drawing in their Emirates FA Cup Extra Preliminary Round game against Shepshed Dynamo.

The game was replayed and Worksop came out on top after extra time, winning 5-4 in an enthralling game.

Eagles gaffer Sean Regan is aware of the threat Worksop pose, but has faith in his side to come out on top; "It'll be another experience for them playing at this level playing against a team who's tipped to win the division so we'll go in to it in the positive mood we always do and see where we go with it.”

Despite finishing 18th in the league last season, The Tigers have emerged as a lot of people’s favourites to be promoted this season, following some fantastic acquisitions over the summer and a solid pre-season.

After gaining their first three points of the season the Eccleshill squad will all be confident going into Saturday’s clash, and will be hopeful of continuing their good form with another impressive victory.

Eccleshill will have their work cut out, but as Sean mentioned, his side is capable of beating anyone on their day so it will be a very even contest all round, with some very entertaining football on show from both sides.
