September is upon us and it's farewell to pre-season and shuttle runs, weights and no action. The rugby is back!

Season 2015-16 gets underway at ERFC against a backdrop of huge improvements for the Club. We now have a tremendous new facility for all our members, visitors and external functions to enjoy.

The Mini and Youth Sections got back to training this morning (30th August!) for the keen amongst them but don't panic; there is another introductory session next Sunday (6th September) before the full Registration Sunday on the 13th. All new members are very welcome so do come down and feel free to email us in advance to let us know you're coming. Just turning up and looking for a team manager is fine as well!

The 'Bridge Broncos are also looking forward to seeing all their new members; the Broncos offer rugby for those too young to join the Mini Section proper. It's a great introduction to rugby for the little ones and lots of fun. Do contact their head coach if you are looking to join the Broncos.

The Seniors kick off their competitive season this coming Saturday (5th September) at home to Dartford Valley in the RFU Junior Vase; the start of the route to Twickenham in this national knock out cup. All support is very welcome and we would like to make special welcome to any prospective social members who want to come down and be part of our vibrant and enjoyable rugby club. the bar will of course be open and you will also be able to watch England take on Ireland in their final RWC Warm-Up match and look to right the wrongs of Paris now the final 31 has been announced.

It would of course be impossible to write about the on-set of the 2015-16 Season without mentioning the Rugby World Cup, held here in England. Edenbridge RFC are of course going to be 'Getting Behind England' and aims to be the best place to watch all of England matches as well as the complete knock out stage of the tournament.

Our refurbishment over the summer has left the Club an outstanding facility to watch the games in; 3 three full HD 50" screens along with an HD projector meaning you can't miss a moment. With all new furniture as well, the Club House is looking better than it ever has and is ready to welcome anyone with an interest in the game to support England (or whichever country you're behind - must remember to be inclusive of all our Welsh, Irish, Scottish South African and Australian members not to mention the few Kiwis who lurk in and around Edenbridge, as well as any other nations!) .

There will be plenty more coming out via the website and out various social media streams over the coming weeks, so keep checking back here, follow us on Twitter, like us on Facebook or even join our Instagram feed to stay in touch with you local rugby club!
