Edinburgh Eagles are delighted to announce that three of this season’s regulars will be representing the club at international level this summer.

Firstly, outside back Alex Paterson has been selected in the Scotland Students squad which will compete in the Four Nations competition held in Wales next week. Coach Nathan Graham’s team will open the tournament against England on Tuesday 17th July (kick-off 2:30pm), then face their Welsh hosts on Thursday 19th (kick-off 4:45pm) and round off their busy week against Ireland Students on Sunday 22nd (kick-off 2:30pm). All games will be played at Sardis Road, Pontypridd. Last season’s Eagles Matt Hogg and Paddy Noutch were also selected.

All student games will be streamed live via rugby league’s Our League app, available to download for free.

Also gaining Scotland international honours, this time at under 19 level, are second row Jamie McCabe and halfback Fergus Simpson. The talented duo will compete in the European Championships to be held in Serbia next month. The tournament, which commenced on the 5th August in capital Belgrade, makes a welcome return after a twelve year absence, having last been played in southern France in 2006. The Scots begin their competition against Ireland.

Also selected are Eagles dual registration player Callum Kennedy, who has been starring in Newcastle Thunder under 19 Academy this season, and his twin brother Timmy who played with Edinburgh Eagles last season.
