3. Coaching

We value our coaches and are committed to providing all our players with the best coaching available.

To enable this, we aim to provide all our coaches with opportunities for continued learning and personal development.

Our commitment to coaching is supported through regular workshops, all delivered by RFU Community Development Officers.

You’d like to gain your Level 1 or 2 Rugby Coaching Qualification?

The Club will reimburse all costs associated with undertaking Level 1 and Level 2 coaching courses.

Our aim is for all our coaches to be Level 2 qualified, hold a coaching licence, and regularly attend Professional Development Workshops.

If you are interested in gaining your Level 1 or 2 you should meet the following criteria:

  • Be committed to the Club
  • Be a valued member of the Coaching Team
  • Demonstrate continual personal development through attending courses and workshops
  • Meet the course requirements (e.g. complete Rugby Ready for Level 1).

For more information please contact our Director of Rugby, Mark Pettit.

You’d like to gain your Level 3 Rugby Coaching Qualification?

We will support all interested individuals to complete their expression of interest form for the RFU's Level 3 Rugby Coaching programme, including video submission. We will also use our network of contacts to help to facilitate mentoring sessions with professional coaches and promote involvement within the Surrey County setup where appropriate.
