Egremont welcomed their local rivals to the sunny Falcon field to avenge their previous loss from the start of the season. Wath brow opened up the scoring on the back of two penalties with extras added 0-6. The mont then battled to get back into the occasion gaining many metres from a penalty after a late hit on JP Brocklebank. A try wasn't to be though and Scott Pink made a glorious interception to score a full length effort taking the visitors into the lead 0-10. Egremont were not to go quietly and the ever present Matthew Henson touched down from short range, extras added 6-10. Wath Brow seemed to lose their heads now and allowed Egremont to gain field position from successive penalties, Matthew Henson pinched another try 10-10 at half time. The second half kicked off with Wath Brow reapplying the pressure kicking a 40-20 and getting close to the Egremont tryline. Egremont were not to allow the brow to get in front, Kevin Brown stepped up running a beautiful line to touch down to a raucous response from his crowd 16-10. Wath Brow soon responded and a try saving tackle by Beckwith prevented the score line being levelled. JP Brocklebank kicked an outrageous kick in to the brow defence with Paul Corkhill coming up with possession, he duly crossed the line to make it 22-10. 2 short minutes later to add salt to the injuries JP Brocklebank slotted over a drop goal some 30m out 23-10. Pressure was building now with all Egremont players wanting to cross the Wath Brow try line. Brocklebank was the next to add more points to board though carrying 4 Brow defenders over the touch line before touching down 29-10. With 5 mins left brow looked to make their second half display pointless, but Karl Dixon touched down 29-16. With two minutes left Egremont received another penalty and chose to take the 2 points 31-16 full time. An all round great team performance from the improving Egremont side.
