Club Policies - updated 2015/2016

Ellingham and Ringwood RFC maintains a number of policies and procedures to make sure the club operates to a high standard. All polices were reviewed and approved at the Committee meeting in August 2015.

This page contains a brief description of each policy. Please review the full policies by downloading the documents at the bottom of this page.

It is a condition of your club membership that you abide by these policies.

Health and Safety Policy
The club is strongly committed to the health, well-being and safety of each individual is always our paramount concern.

Safeguarding Policy
The club acknowledges its responsibilities to safeguard the interests of all children, young adults and vulnerable adults involved in rugby at the club.

The Safeguarding policy has been developed with the following key principles in mind

The welfare of the child or vulnerable adult (as appropriate) is, and must always be, paramount to any other considerations.

All participants regardless of age, gender, ability or disability, race, faith, culture, size, shape, language or sexual identity have the right to protection from abuse or harm and should be able to enjoy their rugby in a positive, safe and enjoyable environment.

All allegations or suspicions of abuse, neglect, harm, discrimination and poor practice will be taken seriously and responded to swiftly, fairly and appropriately.

Children have a right to expect support, and personal and social development delivered by an appropriately recruited and vetted adult.

Equity Policy
The club is committed to ensuring that equity is incorporated across all aspects of its development. In doing so it acknowledges and adopts the Sport England definition of sports equity:

Codes of Conduct & Discipline Policy
The club aims to ensure that all people have a genuine and equal opportunity to participate in the game of rugby at all levels and in all roles.

To ensure that this can happen in as favourable environment as possible, the club has developed the Codes of Conduct and Discipline Policy which sets out behaviour expectations for coaches, players, parents/guardians and spectators as well as disciplinary procedures.

Photography and Video Recording Policy
The club has adopted the RFU Best Practice Guidelines for photographic or recorded images - including those taken by mobile telephone.

As part of our commitment to ensure the safety of children we will not permit photographs or recordings of children to be taken or used without the consent of the parents/guardian of the child.

The club will take all steps to ensure photographs or recordings are used solely for the purposes they are intended which is the promotion and celebration of the activities associated with rugby.

Social Media Policy
The club requests that you use social media outlets positively, be responsible, share your achievements, celebrate success, be gracious in defeat, be honest, and enjoy communicating and interacting.

Tour policy
The club promotes and encourages individual age groups to organise tours provided that all necessary policies and procedures are followed.

Shirt Policy
All age groups will use the same design when ordering new shirts.

The clubs primary colours are navy blue and amber. The main body of the shirt will be navy blue with an amber inset on each side under the sleeves. Where the shirts have collars these will be navy blue. The club badge will be on the left and any manufacturer’s logo on the right. Where the shirts are sponsored the main sponsor’s logo will be centre front and any additional sponsors may have their logos on the sleeves.

The change strip where required is scarlet with a white insert. Badges and any logos will be as for the primary strip.

All shirt sponsorship must go through the committee,

All shirt designs must be approved by the committee as should any proposed variations eg pink inserts for female teams.

The primary strip and the change strip may be reversible.
