A great family day

On 13 July our young centre Louis Harling was able to play in the same game as his uncle from Devon and his cousin from Australia.

Ellingham's 3rd XV won the game 49-10 and Louis scored two tries. His uncle Kenton played in the second row, while his cousin Liam played scrum half for Dorchester.

After the game Kenton commented "I'd like to thank everyone at the club for their hospitality when myself, my antipodean brother-in-law Liam and my wife’s nephew Louis Harling all turned out for the 3rd team in the game against Dorchester III’s. As visitors you are always a bit unsure what to expect, and it’s been a while since either myself or Liam have picked up a ball! We shouldn’t have worried as we were made instantly welcome, and enjoyed a cold but rewarding encounter with a well-earned win for the home team. It was a great club atmosphere with real camaraderie that you should all be very proud of. Thanks for making this a memorable and special occasion – it’s unlikely the three of us will ever be on the same pitch at the same time again, so it’s something we’ll keep with us for a long while".
