Our 3rd XV produced some great rugby on Saturday to beat title chasing Wimborne at Leigh Park.

Playing in to a stiff breeze, we took the lead after 5 minutes when captain and scrum half Henry Benson took a quick tapped penalty and sprinted over in the corner. But the strong Wimborne forwards then took a grip of the game to score two well worked tries from rolling mauls to give them a 10-5 lead at half time.

In the second half, playing with the wind at our backs, our forwards worked hard and won sufficient possession to allow us to play some attractive rugby. This was rewarded with two tries from fly half Dean Young and a second try for Henry Benson.

Next week we face a tough game against top of the table Frome, at the Raymond Brown Memorial Ground.
