His post with Ellon Rugby and the NE of Scotland is partially covered by SRU finance, but the remainder comes from Ellon Rugby raising funds. For the up and coming season we require to raise £8,000 to make up the short fall from SRU funds and club money.
For a significant contribution towards this figure, Ellon Rugby would offer pitch side advertising, dedicated space on the club website for advertising, articles in the local papers and mentioned every time the DO is mentioned in articles, logos on the DO’s club clothing and on the Modern Apprentice clothing, an invite to a sponsors lunch at the club before a first team game, access to Scotland International tickets, First XV team sheet advertising and an advertising page in the club membership booklet.
Both the Development Officer and Modern Apprentice work throughout the North East of Scotland in Secondary schools, Primary schools, Festivals and at the club. They work with children developing skills and encouraging participation in sports, whilst working at the club to develop the club structure and improve the coaches.
It is a vital resource for both the club and the community. Active schools make a great use of the MA and DO, running sessions in schools, after school clubs and festivals.
