Paul Winter Active Schools and the team from Ellon Mike Avis and Nathan Brown ran an exciting event at the ASV supported by Pete Young and some DOs from other clubs 300 Children were able to experience the highs and lows of playing touch rugby.
Whilst it was a sunny day outside the decision had been made earlier in the season to hold the event at the ASV.
The children were brought in on many buses to take part in the festival.

Westfield School were also the recipients of 4 weeks of rugby coaching and Mike Avis said it was delight to spend time with these youngsters who clearly appreciated all the time spent with them and he went on to say they make you feel very privilaged to spend time with these great children who face significant challenges every day but only show positive and happy faces.

Later in the season it is the intention of Mike to run a small fun festival for the school to compete against a similar school in Peterhead as he believe these children deserve as much support as they can be given.

The picture below show some happy Fraserburgh youngsters at the ASV.
Awards went to Sandhaven and Inverallochy for their sportsmanship and positive play at the festival.
