Departing the club is Richard Gammon who leaves us to join Walsham le Willows in the Thurlow Premier. Gammo has not had much playing time this season with us and after getting an offer from Walsham decided it was the best move for him at this time. We would like to thank Gammo for his commitment to the club over the past season and a bit and wish him well on his move.

Coming in to the squad is forward Matty Simpson from neighbours Soham Town Rangers. Matty has been a target since the start of last season and did come pre-season with us but decided to stay at Soham. He has not been given much of a chance with Soham this season after making 27 appearances scoring 6 goals for them in the Ryman North Division in 2014/15. At 21 Matty will fit well into our young squad and will be well suited to how we play.

Manager Brady Stone said he was delighted to have signed Matty and is looking forward to working with him.

Matty goes straight into the squad for Saturdays home game against Newmarket in the FA Vase. All at the club wish Matty a warm welcome and look forward to seeing him in an Ely shirt.
